Mark's background includes twenty four years experience in visual design with a major luxury retailer where he developed and translated the corporate vision into the physical environment. He also helped create the companies first new concept store with an exciting new image and fresh visual presence. His extensive experience with display, store design, fixture design and merchandising have given him an intuitive feel for shape and space. This all serves him well into his new venture with Mark Harding Designs.
Using his vivid imagination along with technical knowledge of furniture and fixture design, Mark injects a unique perspective into every project. Much of his inspiration and creativity comes from his love of mid-century artisans who are known for their simplicity, beautiful lines, and use of various materials such as hardwoods, plastic and metal. Mark took his passion to the next step and creates original custom art lamps which he sells along with his line of mid-century furnishings.
