I constantly explore new ways to create custom lighting, by using everyday objects that can be transformed into something extraordinary.

This unusual lighting collection was created because of my passion for illumination and architecture. Most of the bases, rods, glass globes and other parts were disassembled from a variety of fixtures, and then reassembled into a unique art lamp or sculptural custom light. The finish was untouched on various parts, leaving the imperfections to create that desired effect and accentuate the history behind the lamp. For safety precautions, all plugs and electrical cords were replaced. Some fixtures were fitted with new shades, while the remaining ones were finished with shades of my own design, resulting in a fusion of modern and vintage.

My hope is that you will appreciate the origin of my custom lighting, the new life they have been given, and the unique character that each can bring to a space.

BINARY DESK LAMP

Another original creation by Mark Harding. This lamp consists of brass components from a 1950s desk lamp, walnut post and brass shades from a 1940s courthouse. It has a 3-way toggle switch on the base.
